Ryan is a serial software and social entrepreneur with more than 30 years of creation and collaboration in the Boulder startup community. With deep expertise in SaaS, Agile product development, Enterprise Lean Startup and collaboration solutions, Ryan is a skilled technical and business leader who is known for his development of shared vision and collaborative leadership skills.

Currently, Ryan focus is on private and public solutions for sustainability and climate resilience. He works as a board member and angel investor in these sectors. This focus comes after Ryan’s third startup journey, Rally Software, which he helped lead from formation to IPO and acquisition by CA Technologies at the CTO. Rally Software was the first public company to gain B-Corp status and has been recognized several times as Best Place to work by Outside Magazine and B-Labs.

In CA’s Office of CTO, Ryan helped to develop CA’s internal incubator based on Lean Startup. He was also key in continuing Rally’s strategic corporate relationship with Code for America, to create and mobilize Citizen Engineers using agile and lean techniques, as part of CA’s CSR model. Ryan is a co-founder of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Colorado, which he has helped take to a international by founding Pledge 1%.
