Sam Ramirez was the first employee of Black Bear and has worked on practically every team created since the company’s inception. As SVP of operations Sam architected Black Bear’s business operations and efficiency enhancing software tools that together have enabled Black Bear’s business to scale 10-fold since inception. Sam is Black Bear’s resident energy expert with his experience coming from across the solar industry and gained from the leading clean energy transition non-profit RMI. He helps internal teams bring a depth of energy understanding to bear as we help our clients leverage Black Bear to deploy accretive rent based solar solutions to achieve their ESG goals. In his spare time, Sam is an avid Salsa dancer. He received his M.S. in Sustainable Energy Deployment and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
